Project Manager - Medical Device

    Akkodis is seeking a Project Manager for a remote 6-month contract) job with a medical device manufacturing client in Bloomington, IN. The Project Manager provides subject matter expertise in defining scope of project and determining project methodology, resource allocation and facilitation based on project needs. This person will be required to be on-site 1-2 weeks of every quarter.

     

    Rate Range: $45.00/hour to $47.86/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Project Manager job responsibilities include:

    • Establish project plans with associated milestones and deadlines

    • Communicate with staff and external vendors throughout projects

    • Act as a single point of contact and provide coordination of deliverables

    • Develop strong relationships with all stakeholders to create a high-performance global team

    • Ensure that projects are completed on schedule and with appropriate documented approvals

    • Train users on new systems and processes

    • Coordinate routing, tracking, and archiving of project documentation

    • Collect and document project risks and issues

    • Provide coaching and guidance to team leaders in best project practices

    • Coordinate development of project status reports by team leads

    • Review project status reports and follow up on needed changes

    • Collect and document resource information

    • Develop and issue resource summaries

    • Attend project status meetings

    • Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization

    • Must strictly adhere to safety requirements

    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance

    • Must maintain company quality and quantity standards

    • Must have effective oral, written and presentation communication skills

    • Ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision

    • Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations

    • Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a science or engineering field preferred

    • Experience with Smartsheet, Planview, and MS Project

    • ERP experience is preferred

    • A history of high-performance demonstrating proficiency in several of the above listed job functions/duties

    • Strong computer usage skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
