    Akkodis is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer role for a Contract job with a client in Cincinnati, OH (Hybrid). The ideal candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of PC hardware, software, and operating systems, along with experience in providing both on-site and remote technical support.

     

    Rate Range: $37/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Desktop Support Engineer job responsibilities include:

    • Installing, configuring, and upgrading desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and associated peripherals and software.

    • Providing on-site and remote technical support for end users, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and application issues.

    • Managing the ticket queue and ensuring all tickets are resolved within the defined service level agreement (SLA).

    • Supporting printers, network configurations, driver installations, and coordinating vendor repairs for faulty devices.

    • Developing and maintaining standard configuration documentation, installation procedures, and knowledge base articles (KB/KEDB, SOPs).

    • Coordinating with Level 3 support teams and vendors for service enhancements, maintenance, and upgrades.

    • Supporting IT needs for on-site or off-site events, including site setup and coordination with venue IT/AV contacts.

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Associate's or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

    • 2+ years of experience in desktop support or technical troubleshooting.

    • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 OS, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, and basic LAN/WAN troubleshooting.

    • Experience working with ITIL processes and managing tickets within defined service level agreements (SLAs).

    Pay Details: $37.00 to $49.00 per hour
