    Akkodis is seeking a Database Administrator for a contract job with a client in Dallas, TX/ Tampa, FL/ Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid). You will be responsible for setting up and configuring Tomcat servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.

     

    Rate Range: $37/hour to $49/ hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Database Administrator job responsibilities include:

    • Setting up and configuring Tomcat servers across various operating systems, ensuring proper memory allocation and security settings.

    • Deploying and managing web applications on Tomcat servers, including application lifecycle management and access control.

    • Monitoring Tomcat server performance metrics (CPU usage, memory consumption, response times) and optimizing performance.

    • Diagnosing and resolving Tomcat server issues such as application crashes, connectivity problems, and errors.

    • Implementing security measures on Tomcat servers, including user authentication, authorization, and encryption.

    • Performing regular backups of Tomcat configurations and data to ensure recovery in case of system failure.

    • Collaborating with developers to address deployment challenges and optimize Tomcat configurations for application needs.

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in database administration and Tomcat server management.

    • Strong expertise in Java Servlets, JSP, and Tomcat configuration and management.

    • Proficiency in Linux/Unix-based operating systems and scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell.

    Pay Details: $37.00 to $49.00 per hour
