Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $65-75/hr (based on year of experience and required skills)
Location & Work Schedule:
Remote Position: Work will be performed remotely during standard business hours.
Standard Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (excluding state holidays).
Work schedule will be determined based on workload and project requirements.
Overtime: May be required on weekends, evenings, and holidays, with prior approval.
Equipment Requirements:
Candidates must provide their own desktop or laptop capable of connecting securely via remote access software. A headset may be required.
In some cases, a company-provided device may be issued and must be returned at the end of the contract or upon termination.
Role Overview:
The Business Analyst will perform senior-level business analysis for complex technology projects, supporting system modernization efforts. This role involves gathering and documenting requirements, analyzing business processes, and assisting in user acceptance testing. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring project deliverables align with business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct business analysis for software development projects, including requirements gathering and process documentation.
Facilitate workshops and interactive sessions with business and technical teams.
Assess and document production support issues, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of business processes, key drivers, and impacts.
Assist with defining functional designs, system specifications, and project documentation.
Support user acceptance testing, training, and implementation activities.
Ensure compliance with established business analysis methodologies and documentation standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
8+ years of experience in business analysis for software development projects.
Expertise in technical writing, documentation, and prototyping tools (Visio, SnagIt, Adobe Illustrator, Axure).
Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
Experience facilitating sessions with business and IT teams.
Proven ability to analyze and resolve production support issues.
Experience defining system specifications and functional requirements.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and business analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in mainframe environments, SQL, Salesforce, Remedyforce, and Java-based applications.
Background in process improvement and change management.
Knowledge of the oil and gas industry, compliance, or enforcement-related projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
This role is ideal for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in system implementations, data migrations, and business process optimization. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work independently, manage complex requirements, and collaborate effectively across teams.
Pay Details: $65.00 to $75.00 per hour
