With a focus on advancing sustainable technology and delivering cutting-edge solutions to global challenges, we are currently seeking a Principal Software Architect to join our High-Tech Team and contribute to the development of innovative high-tech systems.
What you’ll be doing as a Principal Software Architect:
- Technical Leadership: Own the technical software roadmap as part of the overall system and technology strategy.
- Architecture Development: Lead a team of software architects and technical leads to design robust, scalable software architectures that align with the full lifecycle of complex high-tech systems.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Represent the software discipline within multidisciplinary teams, collaborating closely with other architects to define multi-year product roadmaps.
- Team Development: Build and continuously improve the software team’s capabilities, ensuring streamlined processes and efficient operations.
- Process Optimisation: Support software processes, including requirements management, continuous integration/delivery, quality assurance, and configuration management.
What you need to be successful as a Principal Software Architect:
- A Master’s degree in Software Development, Informatics, or an equivalent field.
- At least 15 years as a lead software architect, with a proven track record in designing and implementing software roadmaps for high-tech systems.
- In-depth knowledge of software architectural principles.
- Experience with real-time operating systems and machine control software.
- Familiarity with software processes such as requirements management, CI/CD, and quality assurance.
- Strong background in leading and coaching software teams, balancing leadership with team autonomy.
- Proficiency in English and Dutch, with the ability to engage effectively across various levels of an organisation.
